BUDAPEST – Hungary’s government voiced support on Tuesday for U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend American military assistance to Ukraine, aligning with its own calls for an immediate ceasefire and peace talks.
“The Trump administration suspended U.S. military aid to Ukraine,” Zoltan Kovacs, international spokesman for the Hungarian government, said on social media.
“The position of the U.S. president and the Hungarian government is the same: instead of arms deliveries and prolonging the war, an immediate ceasefire and peace negotiations are needed,” Kovacs added.
