Iran condemns terror attack on bus carrying security forces in Pakistan

A bus is damaged following a bomb blast in Balochistan province, southwest Pakistan, which left seven security forces dead on March 16, 2025.

TEHRAN – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has condemned a terrorist attack on a bus carrying security forces in the southwest of Pakistan.

At least seven officers were killed and over 30 others injured after a roadside bomb went off near the bus in Balochistan province on Sunday, police in Pakistan said.

Baqaei denounced the blast later that day, extending condolences to the families of the victims, as well as the people and government of Pakistan.

Based on Iran’s principled stance, terrorism is condemned in all its forms and wherever it takes place, he said.

The spokesperson also stressed the need to strengthen efforts and cooperation at the bilateral and regional levels to counter terrorism.
